Sleeping Queens

We've got a new family obsession:  the card game Sleeping Queens.  We played for over an hour two nights in a row and Bryan and the girls have played a game the past two mornings as well.

There's enough strategy to make it very fun.

One of us seems to have a different objective:  Always try to rid yourself of the number cards, even if you have cards of value to be played.  Try to get the Kitty Queen NO MATTER WHAT.

We were shocked to notice her trying to keep from crying in the middle of the game.  "What's wrong?"  She burst into tears, "Daddy has the Kitty Queen and I have NO WAY TO GET HER!"  Face buried in my shoulder as she sobbed (she had played her knight the hand before).

Daddy very kindly traded her the Kitty Queen for one of her queens and Jenna obliged her several times by putting other queens to sleep with potions, despite the fact the Kitty Queen is worth 20 points.
