You'll have to make them a present....
They'll probably want to go to a place that "lets dogs come" (Petsmart)...
Hitting the town will remind them that they want lots of loving too...
After Jenna asked if a dog could have a birthday party, she decided she wanted to give one to Sadie and Tucker. Jenna designed them a pillow because they seem to enjoy the one we made the cats, and then she made a cake based on an internet "dog cake" recipe. Invitations were given to a couple of people and Grandma Susie came. We enjoyed looking at pictures of Tucker when he was a "baby" and Sadie seemed to really enjoy the cake. Jenna was most excited, however, about walking them around on a leash at Petsmart. Despite the Bday party being cut a little short when Caroline puked in the van right before pulling into Petsmart, Jenna and the dogs had a great time. We had another huge puke on the way home and then this is a picture of what things were like for Mommy, Daddy, and poor Caroline the rest of the night....
And then about 48 hours later, Bryan and I came down with it (me first, Bryan about an hour later). Less than 24 hours after that, Jenna got it (she threw up at Grandma Rita and Pop's house after we sent her there so that the rest of could recuperate). Caroline started throwing up again too. This was the scene the following Monday....

The great part about it was that after all the nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea passed, it was really kind of awesome to just lay around, read, and watch the winter Olympics together. Jenna and I thought about how similar it was to Little House on the Prairie when the whole family had the "fever and ague." (or fever and "eggview," as she calls it). :)
