A Crafty Family Night

check out that moon! and the "tatoo" on Jenna's arm (she said it was mama)
This was Mommy's family night! Since we are participating in a Christmas Card Exchange through Kids Craft Weekly (and are now three days past the suggested mail date), tonight was a glitter and paint night (there is a very, very fine line between disaster and a good time with this combo). I was a bit hesitant about committing to making ten cards, but Jenna loved it! She wanted no assistance and she was very proud of the finished products.

Afterwards, Bryan and Jenna designed a house for her Christmas Village and Jenna painted (top pic).

Jenna and I took a bath after Bryan and C. fell asleep. It's so amazing to me what happens when I completely stop trying to do anything and just be with her. It's like time stops and I really see her. We become giggly, talky, content, and relaxed.
Funny note: At one point Jenna answered one of my questions like this, "oh yeah, dude. Definitely." She really doesn't sound four sometimes. What a goofball!

*There are no pictures of Caroline tonight, mainly b/c Bryan and I had to monitor things so closely, there wasn't much time for the camera. She did get to make a card, though. She painted about 25 coats of modge-podge on it before we could gently coax the paintbrush away from her. I hope the recipient doesn't mind a soft and floppy Christmas greeting.
Unrelated: Jenna hurt her foot tonight and Caroline was so sweet to her big sister--patting her back, rubbing her hair and face, and offering her different toys. They really love each other. How awesome.
