Today

Finished Socks read aloud over breakfast.  We found Chile on the map and globe (where Isidora, the little girl Jenna befriended from our Disneyworld hotel, is from).  Wrote Isidora a letter.  Bird-watched Robins and Bluebirds (Jenna looked up Robins in bird book to see if we could find a difference in the male or female).  Jenna googled "what kids on the frontier wore" and then got dressed in her Laura and Mary attire, using her nightgown as a chemise.  Caroline followed suit.  The kids built a "home" underneath the kitchen window since it was slightly protected from the cold drizzle.  Caroline cut her toe on something and we talked about how to stop bleeding.  Caroline saved a worm from the cold, wet sandbox and looked at it under a magnifying glass.  Read from The Shores of Silver Lake over Butternut Squash Soup.  Colored a bit.  Mom took a 15 minute nap and the girls played paper dolls.  Quiet time:  I'm typing this and Jenna is reading A Pioneer Sampler while Caroline is playing Stack the States on the ipad.  They will switch roles here in a few minutes.  On schedule after quiet time:  clean-up living room, Scooter Math, supper prep.

At the St. Louis City Museum a few days ago. Incredible fun.  Just me and my girls (Daddy was taking  a class).

More awesomeness at the Magic House

A moment

IMG_4041

I submitted this for an online group photography class I signed up for and received several nice comments on it. I love the light in our bedroom at night and the bed so often looks just like I captured it. I love this picture.
