We got a late start on this hike and ended up with two sleepy and hungry kids as soon as we got out of the car. So, we hiked a quarter of a mile to this rock, ate lunch, enjoyed the view, played and cuddled in the sleeping bags. This wasn't an overnight hike; it was just practice carrying all of our gear.
